Alo Chhaya Weekly Update 22-27 June: Chhaya Moves In With The Senguptas

In the popular Zee Bangla TV serial Alo Chhaya, the pace has really picked up with Alo’s (Debadrita Basu) suspicions about Baban being fully aroused, thus causing a rift between her and Chhaya (played by Oindrila Bose). Baban is involved in some illicit dealings through the family’s medicine business, which has already caught the attention of the police. Akash’s (Arnab Banerjee) father puts it down to Baban’s irresponsibility, and is not pleased with him. Here is a round up of all that has happened in Alo Chhaya in the week starting 22 June, 2020.

We see that Chhaya suddenly decides to move in with the Senguptas. She says that she is having a tough time alone at home during the pandemic, and wants to be with Alo. Everyone is surprised that she has arrived without notice, while Alo doesn’t believe that her best friend has come for her sake. She rightly guesses that this is Baban’s doing, and she fears for Chhaya even more. Thus, Alo insists that Chhaya stays in her room with her, and Chhaya is irritated and angry because she cannot slip out to spend time with Baban freely anymore.

One day, some of the slum dwellers that Alo and the family have been providing food for try to storm into the Sengupta house. They are angry, claiming that the last batch of food sent to them was rotten, resulting in one of their fathers having to be taken to the hospital. Alo is alarmed and personally speaks to them. She apologises but assures them that all the food had been fresh and hot when it left their house.

As the slum dwellers continue to threaten her, Alo notices that the person who says his father is ill is constantly talking to someone on the phone and looking up at the house. Alo thinks that this is a conspiracy to set her up and suspects Baban again — and rightly so. She demands to go to the hospital to see the patient, and the man hesitates and back-tracks on his claim.

Later in the house, the laundry man has come, and Baban is not around to give him his dirty clothes. Alo takes it as an opportunity to go into his room, and finds stacks of 2000-rupee notes. She shows them to the rest of the household, and the entire family is shocked. Baban returns and tries to pass it off as company money yet to be deposited, but Akash’s father does not buy the claim, and is enraged at Baban’s shady dealings.
