Annup Sonii: From A Satark Saathi On Crime Patrol To Raat Baaki Hai’s Shaatir Suspect, He Proves He Can Play Cop And Robber Equally Well

It’s time to finally let some #DarkSecrets be revealed with ZEE5’s latest release, Raat Baaki Hai. Based on Atul Satya Koushik’s thriller play titled, Ballygunge 1990, the story of the film revolves around a mysterious murder in one of Rajasthan’s palatial hotels. The film stars Annup Sonii, Rahul Dev, Paoli Dam, and Dipannita Sharma in prominent roles. The film is directed by Avinash Das and will premiere on April 16, 2021, exclusively on ZEE5.

The film is a revenge drama that focuses on the lives of Kartik and Vasuki, two estranged lovers who meet after 12 years on an unfateful night. While Kartik is the prime suspect of an ongoing murder investigation, the only person he finds solace in is his old lover Vasuki. As he plays the role of a sly robber and a short-tempered lover, Annup Soni proves his versatility as an actor.

Annup Sonii is popularly known for his 8-year long stint in the crime series, Crime Petrol. He’s seen as the narrator who takes us through the events of the story. Annup also shares his thoughts in between and towards the end of the show. The actor is always seen pointing out how one needs to be alert at all times so that crimes can be prevented.

While Annup’s image has been of a Satark Saathi for so long, he’s changing that as he forays into different kinds of roles lately. While he altered people about various crimes in his show, in the film, Annup is a robber who is also the prime suspect in a murder investigation.
