Did You Know Sandeepa Dhar Has Special A Connection With Cops? Here’s What We Know About The MumBhai Star

Sandeepa Dhar is gearing up for the release of her much-anticipated web show, a ZEE5 Original action crime drama series titled MumBhai. Starring Angad Bedi, Sikandar Kher, Sunny Hinduja, and others in prominent roles, the gripping series is set in the 1980s when Mumbai was ruled by the underworld. Interestingly, as Sandeepa is all set to enthrall fans with her role as a Maharashtrian character for the first time in her upcoming show, did you know that she has played the role of a cop in several films and shows earlier? Sandeepa surely has a connection with the cop avatar and here’s everything we know about it so far!

Actor Sandeepa Dhar, who made her debut in Bollywood in 2010 with Isi Life Mein, was seen in the movie, Dabangg 2 and Heropanti. In Dabangg 2,  Sandeepa essays the role of a cop, Anjali. Not only this, but she was also a part of the movie, 7 Hours To Go directed by Saurabh Verma of Mickey Virus fame. In the movie, Sandeepa dons the cop avatar and she also went through some tedious training for it. Speaking to IANS, Sandeepa had revealed that her character in the film, Nandini Shukla, is very tough and that she is a no-nonsense cop. More so, Dhar mentioned that had also undergone physical training for the film, especially MMA training to get into the physical-mode. 

Not only this, in 2019, Sandeepa appeared in the ZEE5 Original Indian crime thriller web series, Abhay. In the show, she plays the role of SP Komal, a Special Task Force officer. Abhay gained a lot of critical acclamation and appreciation. The web-series stars Kunal Kemmu, Elnaaz Norouzi, and Sandeepa Dhar as the lead characters and is inspired by true events. The success of the show was such that the makers came up with Abhay 2. Now we know, Sandeepa Dhar does have a connection with the role of a cop, as she has donned the police uniform in several films and shows.

Interestingly, Sandeepa Dhar recently took to Instagram and posted a photo with her MumBhai co-star, Angad Bedi. She wrote, “Yeh poori Mumbhai ka game bajata hai Lekin Iska Game sirf Vaishnavi baja sakti hai! P.S. Didn’t get to shoot a gun in the series so made up for it by posing with it for the pics.” Her caption hinted at her interesting character in the upcoming ZEE5 Original show. Sandeepa gave a clue that she might be a tough competition to Bhasker in the series.
