The Pavitra Rishta actress Asha Negi has made a comeback with her debut in the digital web series Baarish. The series starring Sharman Joshi and Vikram Singh Chauhan, was well received by the audience and is currently running the course through the season 2! The show is about the mediocre and humble love story of Anuj (Sharman), and Gauravi (Asha). The sizzling chemistry and the romantic tale sparks love in the hearts of the viewers. On the personal front, Asha Negi and long-time boyfriend Rithvik Dhanjani (Pavitra Rishta), have gone through a tough time and are healing from their rumored split. In the midst of this, Asha talked to a daily, about her depression and the dark time of her life.

Asha revealed that she was emotionally low and sad about her career block. She said that she was looking for suitable roles but none were coming up, and watching her contemporaries grow steadily, broke her from the inside. She felt that her career was over, until she made a comeback with Baarish. She said that she grew immensely as an actor and a person, during the dark time.
Just like Asha, Zee Tv’s Chhoti Bahu, Rubina Dilaik, has also confirmed that she suffered from bouts of depression due to the anxiety and stress that are the counterparts, to the glamour of their profession. She also added that for fighting off this emotional imbalance, she resorts to Yoga and meditation. Not just these two, Guddan Tumse Na Ho Payega’s Antara (Dalljiet Kaur), also accepted that she was depressed for a long time. The actress was last seen in the popular show, Bigg Boss. She said that her previous marriage was the reason for her mental stress and she overcame it after the bitter divorce.
It is not just female actors who suffer the emotional stress, Karan Jotwani of the Aap Ke Aa Jaane Se fame, has said that he suffered the mental breakdown for two months when he was shooting for the show. In the show, his love interest finds another man, and Karan had to portray intense emotions. This took a toll on the actor’s mental health. Vikas Sethi, the Do Dil Bandhe Ek Dori Se actor, also shared the details of his dark phase. He said it was not just about work, but also parts of personal life that pulled him down the black hole.
