After the huge success of the sitcoms, Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain and its spin-off show Happu Ki Ultan Paltan, &TV (And TV) is coming up with another similar sitcom! Titled, ‘Aur Bhai Kya Chal Raha Hai’, the show will revolve around the story of two families, who aim to own the mansion that they both live in. Read on to know more about this upcoming show.
The upcoming sitcom Aur Bhai Kya Chal Raha Hai is set in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. The premise of the show is based on the constant ongoing banters between two families, who despite living in the same mansion, have their separate spaces. The two families are the Mishras and the Mirzas.
The Mishra family has six people – Mishra (Amrish Bobby), Mishra’s wife Shanti (Farhana Parveen), their three kids – one daughter and two sons, and his father Brij Bihari (Pankaj Soni), who is a widower. Mishra owns a paan shop, by the name of Mishra Paan Bhandaar. In his family, his wife Shanti is the alpha, who controls him, orders him around, and makes him do whatever she wants.

The Mirza family is no different. There are five people in the family – Mirza (Pawan Singh), Mirza’s wife Sakeena (Akansha Sharma), their two kids – a son and a daughter, and their mother Noorjahan (Archna Shukla), who is a widow. Just like Mishra, Mirza too suffers the same fate. His wife is the boss of the house, and she too controls him and orders him around. Mirza owns a tea stall, by the name of Lucknow Tea Stall, and is right next to Mishra Paan Bhandaar.

Both Mishra and Mirza often share their ordeals of being dominated by their wives, while being at their shops. And Shanti and Sakeena too, get talkative with each other when at home.

Mishra and Mirza reside in a big haveli, which has an interesting history – when the British left India, they divided the haveli into equal halves, which were taken up by Mishra and Mirza. Now, both the families reside in their half portions. However, when not friendly, they both are each other’s enemies, as they both aim to own the entire haveli someday. This often leads to arguments between the Mishras and the Mirzas, which results in hilarious situations for the audience.

We will also see other recurring characters in the show, who will add to the show’s hilarity. Some of these are – Pappu Pandey (Sandeep Yadav), who is a young politician; Bittu Kapoor (Anup Awasthi), who is an older politician; and Paro (Simran Awasthi), who is the maid of the haveli and an accomplished gossipmonger.

Along with witty banters and humorous arguments, we will also get to watch the families living in harmony despite their differences. Aur Bhai Kya Chal Raha Hai, besides being an entertaining sitcom, will also convey the feels of a slice-of-life story of the common folk of Lucknow. Aur Bhai Kya Chal Raha Hai premieres on &TV on 30 March, 9:30 pm.
