Ayushmann Khurrana-Vaani Kapoor Starrer Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui Gets A Release Date; Actor Makes The Announcement With A BTS Pic Flaunting Flexes

Recently, the Maharashtra government announced that the theatres in the state will be reopened on October 22 this year. The news bought a smile to the faces of the filmmakers who have been waiting for the cinema halls to reopen. Several films were put at a halt for a theatrical release. Now that the theatres will be opening soon, the filmmakers are announcing the date of release of their films. Joining others were the makers of the film Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui. The film will hit the big screens on December 10, 2021.

The film stars Ayushmann Khurrana and Vaani Kapoor. The lead actor of Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui, Ayushmann Khurrana took to his Instagram account and dropped a post that sheds light on the date of release of the most anticipated film. In his Instagram post, he wrote, “Body dekh lo, Shakal baad mein dikhaayenge.Theatre khul gaye hain, dilon pe phir se chaa jaayenge..#ChandigarhKareAashiqui, releasing on 10th December, 2021.” Along with it he posted his shirtless picture in which he opted not to show his face. Ayushmann can be seen holding a slate of the film in his hand on which the date of release was mentioned. He also posted a picture with the leading lady Vaani Kapoor and director Abhishek Kapoor.

For an unversed, Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui wrapped its shoot in late December last year. The film was marked as the first Indian film to complete the entire shooting during the coronavirus pandemic. Talking more about the film, Abhishek Kapoor’s directorial film is a modern-day love story that will feature Ayushmann portraying the role of a cross-functional athlete. While Vaani will reportedly essay a transgender character in Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui. The film is produced by Bhushan Kumar and Pragya Kapoor.
