Ayushmann Khurrana’s wife Tahira Kashyap opened up about her feelings and let out some amusing facts about her eldest son’s birth. Read on to know more

Ayushmann Khurrana and Tahira Kashyap are college love birds. The two were in the same tuition class in class 12th in Chandigarh.  They got married on November 1, 2008. The couple has two beautiful kids, Virajveer and Varushka. We love their social media PDA. They keep expressing love for each other over social media and love to see it all. Tahira and Ayushmann’s journey from being friends to finally soul mates really makes you believe in soulmates.

Tahira recently opened up about Virajveer’s cesarean section birth. During an Instagram live with a friend and actor Neha Dhupia, Tahira said that it was seen as taboo that she did not have a normal delivery.

Tahira also said when her son came out after 12 hours of intense labour, the doctor was just looking at her like ‘Here, take your baby’. And she refused to open her arms. All those feelings that she had read about in the books, also heard from her mother and grandmother, all the tales of mother’s love, she didn’t feel any of it. And she just didn’t want to be pretentious about it.

She said that as the doctor was standing, she had these two sets of eyes staring at her and the maximum she could do was wriggle her nose. And asked the doctor to take her son to his family. Bewildered at her response, the doctor answered strangely and asked her what does she mean by his family? And she replied that she meant the rest of the family.

She has written about her journey of motherhood in her new book, The 7 Sins of Being A Mother. She has previously written The 12 Commandments of Being A Woman and I Promise. Apart from being an author, Tahira has turned into a producer after her movie release Sharma Ji Ki Beti. Her being open about the feelings she had during birth helps kill the stigma around motherhood.
