Badhai Do Trailer Out: Rajkummar Rao And Bhumi Pednekar Starrer Is A Companionship Of Two Oddly Different People; The Secret Is Finally Out – WATCH

The trailer for Badhaai Do, starring Rajkummar Rao and Bhumi Pednekar, has been out. The comedy-drama, helmed by Harshvardhan Kulkarni, seems to be about two individuals in their 30s who enter a mutually beneficial relationship to conceal their sexual preference covertly. On February 11, Badhaai Do will be released in theatres.

Rajkummar and Bhumi are married for the sake of convenience. Suman Singh, a 31-year-old physical education instructor with a penchant for women, is played by Bhumi. To dodge the pressures of their families, she marries Shardul Thakur Rajkummar, a policeman.

Suman and Shardul have agreed to live together as housemates, but when her lover Chum Darang visits, turmoil erupts. When their relatives put pressure on them to have a baby, matters get much more challenging. Rajkummar’s mystery is revealed in the trailer’s final scene: he, too, is homosexual. The theme of lavender marriage, which is a wedding between a man and a woman to conceal homosexuality, is explored in Badhaai Do.

In an interview with a leading daily previously this year, Rajkummar remarked regarding Badhaai Do, “The only thing I can tell anybody is that it is centered on the lavender wedding of these two individuals, Sumi and Shardul, played by Bhumi and me.” It’s a lot of fun, and it’s about a topic that’s really socially important in today’s world. The movie is a sequel to the movie Badhai Ho, which featured Ayushmann Khurrana and Neena Gupta in the key roles, with Gajraj Rao, Surekha Sikri, Shardul Rana, and Sanya Malhotra in side roles. The movie recounted the narrative of a middle-aged couple who become pregnant, much to their sons’ dismay. Fans are thrilled to see Rajkummar Rao and Bhumi Pednekar in this comedy-drama and laugh their hearts out in the theatres.
