Ben Affleck accompanied Jennifer Lopez at the Venice Film festival

Venice film festival has so much to offer every year. From early releases, awards, glamourous appearances of our beloved stars to sometimes glimpse at the private life of these very stars. That is the reason that movie buffs wait patiently every year for the event. Sometimes, we also get unexpected surprises like the appearance of Bennifer – Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez – at this year’s edition of the festival.

The Bennifer craze

Bennifer is the name given by the fans to the lovebird pair of Hollywood Actor- Director, Ben Affleck and Singer-Actress Jennifer Lopez. They were spotted by the eagle-eyed paparazzi while on the way to the hotel at the film festival. And it was neither a serendipitous meeting for the two stars nor a secretive one. The couple was seen exchanging pleasant glances and cuddles, without worrying about the public eye in the water taxi.

The past and the present

The Bennifer couple shares a long past. The duo first got to know each other in 2002 when they worked for the movie “Gigil”. Although the movie was not a success at the box office, it succeeded in bringing the two co-stars together. What followed was a very public display of affection with matching cars and even an enormous diamond engagement ring. However, the couple unfortunately and inexplicably broke off the engagement in 2004. And now for all those with romantic hearts and dreams, the couple seems to have reunited after a gap of two decades.

Ben Affleck was at the festival for the premiere of his movie, The Last Duel. The movie features his close friend, Matt Damon. It also stars Adam Driver and Jodie Comer in the leading roles and has an appearance by Ben Affleck. Jennifer Lopez has no part in the movie. It is quite evident that the song diva is here to support her partner as the event marks the first public appearance of the couple after getting together.
