It is a special day for ‘Navarasa Nayaka’ Jaggesh as he celebrates his 57th birthday today! Well, where do we start? From being India’s top comedian to being a phenomenal director as well as a producer and to now becoming a politician, Jaggesh has done it all! The actor who made his debut in the 1983 movie, Ibbani Karagithu, is still well-known for movies like Banda Nanna Ganda, Super Nan Maga as well as his most recent film Premier Padmini and was recently seen as a judge in the show Comedy Khiladigalu Season 3.
On this day, let’s celebrate his top 3 movies which received much appreciation.
Melkote Manja
Jaggesh plays the role of a conman called Manja opposite Aindrita who has successfully played a de-glam character of Parvathi. The movie is all about humour and a tad bit of drama. It is no surprise that Jaggesh has effortlessly delivered his dialogues, not to forget his funny thoughts paired with just the perfect expressions, that make for the highlight of this film.
Ganesha
The story revolves around Ganesha, played by Jaggesh, who is caught up in debts which then results in him getting torn between two gangs. Life turns around for Ganesha when he joins one of the gangs but falls in love with the daughter of the second gang leader. Ganesha’s character portrayed by Jaggesh not only brings out his chatterbox personality, but his performance in the same is undoubtedly the best to have been witnessed.
Premier Padmini
Jaggesh in Premier Padmini has put forth an excellent performance as Vinayak who is a middle-aged man facing a mid-life crisis. While the character of Vinayak is not something we have seen Jaggesh play before, his ability to pull off a serious yet sensitive character as Vinayak is what keeps the emotional graph of this film high. The movie is fun with Jaggesh playing one of the warmest and relatable characters in recent times.
