Happy 30th, Sid Sriram!

If you listen to mainstream music, you know him. If you enjoy indie music, you know him. No matter what language you speak or listen to, you must have surely heard him. Almost since 2013-2014, Sid Sriram has been a part of several films rendering his soulful voice. In Telugu and Kannada languages, this magical singer has sung the maximum number of songs. And today, as he turns 30, we hope to hear him in 30,000 songs more.

Sid is an Indian-American who trained in Carnatic singing from a young age. He credits his success to his mother, who made sure he got every pronunciation perfect. No matter the language of his song, Sid’s vocals do not miss an alphabet here or there. In fact, we believe, he can convert a good song into a great song. On his 30th birthday, here are 7 songs that we believe continue to be on your most-loved playlist.

Maate Vinadhuga

Our first pick is Maate Vinadhuga from Vijay Deverakonda‘s Taxiwaala. The film is a horror-comedy, but the song is sheer romance. Its music is capable of taking you on a trance, and Sid’s voice makes it perfect for any happy occasion.

Mella Mellega

Here’s a song from Allu Sirish’s American Born Confused Desi (ABCD) which did not get its due recognition. Just like the film, Mella Mellaga is a fun song with upbeat music and is a perfect pick-me-up.

Inkem Inkem

When talking about Sid Sriram, we cannot miss out on Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna starrer Geetha Govindam. It was with this album that Sid really became a hot topic for most people. And here’s Inkem Inkem, which continues to make us go weak in the knees even today.

Emo Emo

In the multi-starrer Devadas, it is this beautiful singer’s Emo Emo which marks the beginning of a rather off-beat love story – between Nani and Rashmika.

Vachindamma

Once again, we talk about Geetha Govindam. And this one is a personal favourite. Written by lyricist Sri Mani, Vachindamma is a beautiful song about what the love looks like. Sid Sriram enhances it with his earthy-Carnatic touch, which makes the song unforgettable.

Egiregirey

Surprised? We wonder why! Because Egiregirey from Sailaja Reddy Alludu is an incredible number. Starring Naga Chaitanya and Anu Emmanuel, Sid Sriram really personifies this particular song.

Emo emo

Lastly, we have the latest entrant on ZEE5. In the thriller film Raahu, there is only one love track, Emo Emo, sung by Sid Sriram. And as we mentioned earlier, this song really adds some breeziness to the otherwise dark film.

And with that, we sign off wishing the beautiful singer a happy birthday.
