Mammootty had an extensive career in the Malayalam film industry from 1971 to present. His first role was in the 1971 Malayalam movie Anubhavangal Paalichakal and he continued to do small roles till Devalokam, which was his first movie as a lead actor. Did you know that the actor wasn’t credited for his initial roles? Even though he started as early as 1971, his first on-screen credit came a decade later in 1980!

A lesser-known fact about the great actor is that he was a law graduate and even practised as a lawyer for two years. Later, in his career, Mammootty played the role of a lawyer in the evergreen superhit Narasimham alongside another legend Mohanlal.
