Bollywood News: Rani Mukerji To Star In Mrs Chatterjee Vs Norway

Rani Mukerji turned 43 recently and decided to celebrate her birthday by making a big movie announcement. While speculations were going on that the actress would next venture into Mardaani 3, owing to the success of both the films in the franchise, it was some other film that was announced on this special day. This movie is titled, ‘Mrs. Chatterjee Vs Norway’ and will be helmed by the ‘Mere Dad Ki Maruti’ director, Ashima Chibber.

The announcement regarding Rani Mukerji’s upcoming film was done through the official social media handles of ZEE Studios. This project will be shot in association with Emmay Entertainment. Talking about the story of the film which is based on true events, the handle wrote, “The story revolves around a mother’s battle against an entire country.”

As Rani talks about the film, she could be quoted saying, “This is a powerful story of a woman that needs to be told.” “It is a film that is dedicated to all the mothers out there,” added Rani. The actress also expressed her excitement in working with the director, Ashima Chibber while saying that her vision for the film and her intent with this project has bowled her over.

Rani also said in a statement that she has been in the industry for 25 years now, and she’s excited to come up with such fresh content. This women-oriented film is supposed to go on floors in Mumbai soon.
