Bollywood Throwback: When Ranveer Singh Was Punished By Akshay Kumar

Akshay Kumar is known for being the perfect gentleman in the industry. The actor is well disciplined and is respected by his peers for the same. The actor can be equally fun at times as he once proved with Ranveer Singh. Akshay Kumar caught and scolded the Simmba actor for coming late for the trailer launch of Sooryavanshi. As punishment, he was made to do sit-ups on stage.

Akshay Kumar, Ajay Devgn, Ranveer Singh, and Rohit Shetty had all come together at the trailer launch of Sooryavanshi. The cop flick helmed by Rohit Shetty has been the talk of the town for the longest time. However, the actors were seen having a bit of fun at the event as Ranveer Singh was funnily criticised for coming late. Upon entry, he was questioned by Akshay Kumar in his own fun way and was asked to explain why he had a lipstick, water bottle and mouth freshener with him.

Replying to this, Ranveer Singh said that he had the mouth freshener for the good of Akshay Kumar as he would have to bear with his mouth odour during their conversation. Catching up on this, a witty Akshay Kumar said that if Ranveer cared for him, he wouldn’t have come late. Ajay Devgn stepped in and explained to the guests that they came on time and it was Ranveer who caused the delay to start the event.

Later, Akshay Kumar punished Ranveer and told him to do 40 sit-ups for coming 40 minutes late. However, he stopped his fellow actor as he began to do the same on stage. During the funny instance, Ajay Devgn churned a bit more fun by saying, “He gave an excuse saying that his wife lives in the town.” The event went well and the actors along with the lead actress of the movie Katrina Kaif addressed the media about their newest film.

Sooryavanshi is the fourth film in Rohit Shetty’s cop universe. It features Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif in the lead while Ajay Devgn and Ranveer Singh will be seen having cameos in it. While Ajay Devgn will portray his iconic character Bajirao Singham, Ranveer Singh will be seen playing the character of Sangram aka Simmba Bhalerao.
