After releasing the period drama Fatteshikast last week, ZEE5 has another welcome news for binge-watchers. The platform is all now set for the world digital premiere of Idak: The Goat. The film directed by Deepak Gawade will premiere on August 21 exclusively on ZEE5.

Starring Sandeep Pathak in the lead role of Namya, the film is about his journey to fulfil his mother’s dreams. The only thing to keep him company during this journey is his beloved goat. Namya forms an inseparable bond with this goat which makes it even tough for him to get going during his journey. Will Namya be able to complete the journey with the notorious goat? While the story is based on Namya, we can’t ignore the goat’s contribution in this story of friendship, humanity, sacrifice, and wisdom. It is set against the beautiful backdrop of a rustic village in Maharashtra making it a treat for the eyes. Apart from Sandeep, Usha Naik and Kishore Kadam essay pivotal roles in this film. It was showcased at the revered Cannes International Film Festival which is another reason why you need to watch the film.
