Chembarathi: Why does Krishnan deserve everyone’s respect?

If there is one character in the Malayalam serial Chembarathi, who has absolutely no haters, it is none other than Krishnan (Sajana Chandran). Being the patriarchal head of the family, Krishnan is vested with a lot of power in his hands. Instead of exercising his power, Krishnan is fine with Akhilandeshwari’s (Thara Kalyan) methods in the family. He plays a vital role of a loving father and a good friend to everyone in the family. And unlike  Vilasini and Ganga, Krishnan never asks for respect.

Here are 6 reasons why Krishnan deserves all the respect on Chembarathi:

#1 Krishnan is the most loving father

Krishnan is the most loving father to Anand and Aravind. He prioritises his family first before anything else. Despite work stress, Krishnan is always ready to help his sons. Be it a work-related issue or personal, Anand and Aravind can always approach Krishnan.

#2 Krishnan is a friend for all

Be it his two sons or the house servants, Krishnan considers everyone as his friends. His calm and composed demeanour never allows him to lose his temper, making him the most approachable man in the family. His loving nature was revealed when he vouched for Kalyani in front of Das, despite knowing that it was none of his concern. It was one of the best moments on the show when Kalyani thanked Krishnan for the same.

#3 Krishnan has the best advice

Be it a matter of their family business or even their personal relationships, Thrichambarath family members can always approach Krishnan. He is known for his problem-solving skills and is always willing to help out. When Nandana walked out on Aravind, Krishnan was the first one to notice about his son’s depression. He suggested his son to make compromises instead of fighting all the time with Nandana.

#4 He never demands respect

One thing that is unique to Krishnan is his attitude that never demands respect. Instead of always showing off his power like Vilasini, Krishnan takes care of the little things. Instead of constantly complaining, Krishnan takes responsibility and makes changes by himself. His loving nature always gets him the respect he deserves even without asking for it.

#5 Krishnan is always kind

There have been many instances in Chembarathi where Krishnan showed us that kindness is his strongest virtue. When Kalyani was banned from Thrichambarath, he was the one who asked Akhila to reconsider the decision. When Nandana returns after demeaning him in front of the family, instead of lashing out at her, Krishnan accepts her apology.

#6 Never afraid to correct the ones who are wrong

When Vilasini and Maheshwari were fighting with each other, we all got to see a different version of Krishnan. He lashes out at them, reminding them of the values and traditions of the family. He was the first to tell Akhila that going back on her word after the brand ambassador competition was wrong. Krishnan is not afraid to call out the ones who are wrong, even if they are closest to him.
