Christmas 2020: Satiate your sweet tooth with these simple dessert recipes this holiday season

Do you have a strong sweet tooth? Here are a few dessert recipes for you to try at home this holiday season!

With the holiday season of Christmas 2020 approaching us quickly, it calls for some yummy delicacies to be relished with friends and family. From late movie nights with our families on the couch to Christmas house parties with friends, we all love some mouth-watering desserts at the end of the day. So nothing gets better than taking some fun dessert inspo from one of our favourite cookery showsRannaghar.

1. Christmas Fruit Cake

Soak tutti-frutti, raisins, chopped up dates and cherries, ginger powder, jeera powder, cinnamon powder, clove powder, chaalkumro petha in apple and black grape juice for a few days. Mix butter, brown sugar and eggs with a mix of flour, powdered almonds, and baking powder with the soaked mixed fruits and a few more ingredients and bake the batter for a yummy Christmas fruit cake. 2. Marble Cake

Mix some butter, powdered sugar, and eggs with flour, baking powder, vanilla essence and milk. Divide it into 2 equal parts and add cocoa powder to one. Add equal parts of both the mixes alternatively and mix it with a skewer to make a marble-like design. Watch the video to know more on how to prepare this yummy Marble Cake!

3. Orange Truffle Cake

Make a batter of some flour, baking powder and soda, sugar, powdered milk, refined oil, vanilla essence, vinegar, milk with one interval. Use cooking chocolate and fresh cream to prepare your truffle. Watch the video to know more.

4. Mouchak Cake

Bake a mix of flour, powdered sugar, 4 eggs, baking powder, vanilla essence, butter and some food colour. Freeze some evenly melted dark chocolate and whip your whipped cream to finish off your Mouchak Cake decorations for a yummy treat.

5. Easy cupcakes

This can be made on a stove cooktop! You will need to make a batter using flour, powdered sugar, vanilla essence, butter, baking powder, cocoa powder and eggs. Cook them on a levelled layer of salt inside a pressure cooker for around 20 minutes and you will have your tasty cupcakes ready to be devoured. Watch the video for more details on the recipe!

6. Red Velvet Cake

Mix butter, refined oil, powdered sugar, condensed milk, red food colour, vanilla essence. Mix flour, food soda, vinegar, milk and baking powder into the batter and bake it. Mix icing sugar, butter, cream cheese, vanilla essence for the icing of the cake. Watch the video for more details on the recipe!

7. Gondhoraj Lebur Cake

After making a batter of flour, baking soda and powder, sugar, butter, zested gondhoraj lebu, yoghurt and eggs, you will need to bake it in a pre-greased cake tin at 180 degrees for 30 minutes. And there you will have your yummy lemon cake!
