Cocktail Actor Yogi Babu Reveals About Stealing Money From His Father, Watch Video

Yogi Babu, who rose to prominence with movies like Pokkiri Raja, Kolamavu Kokila (2018) and Pariyerum Perumal (2018), among others, is currently busy riding the wave of success for his latest film Cocktail. The actor, who played the lead character of a Don in the film received mixed reactions from the critics. Recently, Yogi Babu, in a candid conversation with ZEE5 Tamil, spoke about the time he had stolen money from his father’s pocket.

Yes, you read that right! In a rapid-fire round session, when Yogi Babu was asked whether he has ever stolen anything in his life, the actor instantly replied that during his childhood, he had once stolen Rs. 5 from his Dad’s pocket. Well, that’s something most of us have done, right?
Apart from Yogi Babu, Mime Gopi and comedian Bala were also a part of this interview. They too raised their hands when this question was asked. Their answers were hilarious; it will surely leave you in splits.
While Mime Gopi said he had stolen wada from a shop, Bala stole ‘Chalna‘ packets. While explaining Bala said that when his mother used to prepare Idlis, he used to dislike the chatni. So, he used to steal Chalna packets and eat it with Idli.
On the other hand, Bala said that he was caught when he tried to steal wada from the eatery. He was told by the owner that next time he should ask and take rather than stealing it. Since then he never repeated his mistake, added Mime Gopi.

Directed by RA Vijaya Murugan, Cocktail revolves around a murder investigation and theft of an antique idol of Lord Murugan. Besides Yogi Babu, the film also features Sayaji Shinde, Mime Gopi, Swaminathan, Bala and Reshmi Gopinath in the prominent roles. Cocktail was earlier slated to hit the theatres in March 2020. However, owing to the COVID-19 pandemic, the producers released it on an OTT platform, ZEE5.
