As per reports, a Christian group filed a complaint against Kareena Kapoor Khan and a few others accusing them of ‘hurting the religious sentiments of the community’ due to their book.

Actress Kareena Kapoor Khan‘s book,’ Pregnancy Bible’, has landed in controversy due to its title. As per reports, a Christian group filed a complaint against the actress and a few others accusing them of ‘hurting the religious sentiments of the community.’ As reported by a leading daily, the complaint was filed by the president of Alpha Omega Christian Mahasangh, Ashish Shinde. The daily also reported that a police official confirmed receiving a complaint.
Last week, Kareena Kapoor Khan took to social media to announce the launch of her book. She wrote, “This has been quite the journey… both my pregnancies and writing my Pregnancy Bible. There were good days and bad days; some days I was raring to go to work and others where I struggled to get out of bed. This book is a very personal account of what I experienced both physically and emotionally through both my pregnancies.” (sic)
Calling the book her third child, Kapoor said that she has shared her ‘experiences and learnings’ in the book. She said, “hope that in some way this will help you on your journey towards motherhood. Carrying both my babies has been the most special time in my life, and I am excited to share the moments and memories with you.”
The book is co-written by Aditi Shah Bhimjyani and published by Juggernaut Books.
Her book is ‘vetted and approved by FOGSI, India’s official body of gynecologists and obstetricians, along with the help of several expert voices like Dr Sonali Gupta and Dr Prabha Chandra of NIMHANS.’
