MusicAs Daler Mehndi’s new song Aila re Ailaa receives widespread acclaim, the veteran singer would like to see the original singers retained for the remix version as well
Many Bollywood celebrities and singers have expressed their displeasure with Bollywood song remakes in the past. Many people in the industry and the audience have spoken out against recreating and remixing old songs. The subject has resurfaced as singer Daler Mehndi expresses his thoughts.
While Daler supports the trend, he also wants the original singer to contribute his or her voice to the new track. he says that If you’re going to recreate old songs, keep the original voice. No one can do justice to Kishore Kumar or Rafi’s songs. The melody should not be wrecked in any way. It does not work when someone who does not know the song simply sits down in front of the computer to tweak it and recreate it.
Daler is currently receiving attention for the newly released replicated version of his song, Aila Re Aillaa, from the Akshay Kumar film, Sooryavanshi. Surprisingly, the original song is also from Akshay Kumar’s 2010 film, Khatta Meetha.
