Just after a clip from Dance Deewane 3 went viral on social media, the show sparked criticism. Raghav Juyal, the host and dancer, was shown in the video speaking incomprehensible Chinese before introducing contender Gunjan Sinha, a native of Guwahati, Assam. He also said things like ‘chowmein’ and’momo.’ The show wrapped up on October 10. Raghav began to get anti-Semitic remarks and was labelled a racist by several, including Assam’s Chief Minister, Himanta Biswa Sarma. Raghav Juyal’s monologue has finally been explained by Gunjan’s father. He spoke out in support of the host of the TV dancing reality programme.
Raghav Juyal gained backing from Gunjan’s father when he drew netizen anger for his comments on an Assamese participant on Dance Deewane 3. Randhir Sinha, Gunjan Sinha’s father, claimed in a statement to the media that he can shed light because he was a part of the play. Gunjan learned Chinese through viewing videos on YouTube. When questioned about her TV show talent, she stated that she could speak Chinese. The Chief Minister moved to Twitter to condemn the “racist remarks” used against the competitor. Madhuri Dixit-Nene, Tushar Kalia, and Dharmesh Yelande featured as judges for Dance Deewane 3. Remo D’Souza appeared as a special guest on that show. In an attempt to clarify the confusion, Raghav posted a video on Instagram.
Raghav discussed how people have evaluated the event based on a short part of the story and have blamed him without understanding the context in a video shared on his social media. He claimed that being labelled a racist had a negative impact on his mental health. They requested the participant to speak Chinese. It was for this reason that it was mentioned in the script. It’s not because she’s an Assamese. On social media, people also reacted incorrectly. Since they are all from Assam, Gunjan’s father would have taken a stand if there had been anything along those lines. Gunjan could also speak Chinese, her father, and it was mostly written. Randhir Sinha works as a police officer.
