Dance Karnataka Dance Family War 2: The Choreographer’s Round Had More Than One Hit Act!

One of the most anticipated rounds on the blockbuster dance show of the state, Dance Karnataka Dance Family War 2 was the ‘Choreographer’s Special Round’. In this round, the choreographer of each participating team would dance with them on the stage to try and earn full marks from the judges and guess what? Many surprising jodis opened their account of the ‘Fire-Brand-Performance’ tag and golden hats while for many others it was another hit week.

As usual, the lovely hostess Anushree began the show with a lovely performance alongside all the choreographers of the show. Needless to say, judges Arjun Janya and Vijay Raghavendra joined the fun soon. Without further ado, let’s get straight into these interesting performances to know how much each team scored. 

1. Anoop, Dimpanna and Rudra Master 

Dancing with some sakkath josh to Kailash Kher’s Vajra Ballalaraya from the DBoss film Saarathee, Anoop-Dimpanna and their choreographer Rudra master impressed Rakshitha Prem the most. They were showered with the ‘Fire-Brand-Performance’ tag and the golden hats.

2. Hanumantha, Shiny and Pavan master

Using the Rebel Star Ambareesh’s best dialogues and mixing it in the song Hey Jaleela from the film Ambi Ning Vayassayytho, Shiny and Hanumantha along with their talented choreographer Pavan master delivered an adorable performance on stage. Everyone loved it so much that the judges — Vijay Raghavendra and Arjun Janya — didn’t even wait for the full song to get over, they directly headed for the ‘Fire-Brand-Performance’ tag and the golden hats.

3. Vivek, Hiranmayi and Rudra master

Hiranmayi and Soorya from the Zee Kannada show Mahadevi, and their choreographer Rudra master dedicated this special performance to two of their specially-challenged friends. The act received a standing ovation from the judges followed by the ‘Fire-Brand-Performance’ tag along with the golden hats.

4. Adithi, Vicky and Arun master

The trio of Adithi and Vicky from Gattimela alongside their super-talented choreographer Arun master treated the audience to a sizzling performance to a Bollywood song called Hai Rama from the film Rangeela. Not only were all the guys floored with Adithi’s performance especially, but the trio also got a standing ovation from the judges and the ‘Fire-Brand-Performance’ tag along with the golden hats. 

5. Ashok, Bhavani and Manju master

This was a fantastic effort to recreate the journey from when Goddess Durga turned into Goddess Kali, in order to destroy some demons. Ashok, Bhavani and Manju master were lauded for their performance by the three judges. This act earned the team a ‘Fire-Brand-Performance’ and then the golden hats. 

6. Anika, Preethu and Pavan master

A magical act with some colourfully decorated costumes and a folksy tune, Anika-Preethu and their choreographer Pavan master gave the judges and audience a glimpse of a unique dance style of Coorg and Kerala called Theyyam. They were showered with praises for their act but Vijay sir informed the team that even giving a ‘Fire-Brand-Performance’ and the golden hats would be an insult to such an amazing dance form.

7. Alaap, Jnana and Manju master

The super-tiny tots of the show, Jnana and Alaap danced as chickens on the song and touched the judges’ hearts. I mean look at little Jnana coming out of the egg-shell, isn’t that just so adorable?

8. Suraj, Minchu and Arun master

The idea behind this act was that Suraj was Ghajini after he burst a tube light on his head last week. With flashes of memories, Suraj, Minchu and their choreographer Arun master gave this audience a hilarious act on stage. With many standing ovations, the team got the ‘Fire-Brand-Performance’ tag and the golden hats by Rakshitha Ma’am.

9. Tejas, Pranathi and Ravi master

Bringing to you an emotional tale of the sacrifices of a son, Pranathi, Tejas and their choreographer Ravi made the audience and the judges emotional after their dance performance. The narrative song spoke about three generations and how each of them have sacrificed something or the other to get here. The result obviously had to be the ‘Fire-Brand-Performance’ and the golden hats that followed.

10. Prekshith, Anwish and Shashi master

While Sashi master dressed as Lord Shiva himself, in a unique way, he made Prekshith and Anwisha dress up as his two biggest weapons; the Trident, also known as the Trishul and the snake that is perched on the Lord’s neck. What a fabulous act in which the choreographer brought his crew together to impress the judges and the audience. It was but obvious that the full marks ritual of ‘Fire-Brand-Performance’ tag and the golden hats followed.

11. Lokesh, Manthana and Shashi master

While all the previous performances continuously got full scores, which has never happened in the history of the show, unfortunately, the last performance didn’t reach that mark. Even though Lokesh was back after a week of recovery, they got a total of 25.5/30 for their act.
