Darlings: Alia Bhatt Announces Wrap Of Her Debut Production’s Shoot; Shares A Cool BTS Video

Alia Bhatt has completed the shooting of film Darlings. The film marks her debut as a film producer. The comedy-drama film Darlings is directed by Jasmeet K Reen and produced by Gauri Khan, Alia Bhatt, and Gaurav Verma. The film stars at Vijay Varma, Shefali Shah and Roshan Mathew along with Alia herself. In March 2021 Alia Bhatt launched her production house called Eternal Sunshine Production and announced her first venture Darlings. Now, she has announced the wrap-up of the film.

She took to her Instagram account to announce the wrap-up of Darlings. While making the announcement she shared a BTS video along with a cool caption. Her caption reads as, ‘Darlings, it’s a wrap!! We have done our best to make a film that we are hoping you will love!

The principal photography of the film was started on July 3, 2021 and within no time the film’s shoot has been completed. The story of Darlings is based in Mumbai. The story of Darlings revolves around the backdrop of a conservative middle-class neighborhood. It narrates the lives a of the mother and daughter as they find courage and love in unusual circumstances to find a place in the world.

When the film went on floors, Alia had written a lengthy note which says that she was nervous to shoot with her co-actors. She wrote, ‘Day one of DARLINGS! my first film as a producer but I will always be an actor first & forever (in this case a very nervous actor). I don’t know what it is .. a night before I start a new film I get this nervous tingling energy all over my body.. i dream all night about messing up my lines..become jumpy.. reach set 15 mins before time fearing I’ll be late! I guess this feeling will never go away.. and it shouldn’t – because being nervous.. and feeling unsure means you really really care. P.S – wish me luck pls (I’ll need all of it to match up to my co-actors @itsvijayvarma @shefalishahofficial @roshan.matthew) (sic).”

On the work front, Alia will next be seen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Gangubai Kathiawadi. She will also be seen in RRR, Karan Johar’s Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani, and Brahmastra, along with Ranbir Kapoor. Whereas, she was last seen in Sadak 2 where she shared the screen space with Aditya Roy Kapur, Sanjay Dutt, and Pooja Bhatt.
