Dear Zindagi Duo Shah Rukh Khan And Alia Bhatt To Team Up After 5 Years

Shah Rukh Khan and Alia Bhatt dazzled the audience with their exceptional performance in the film Dear Zindagi. And while there’s no doubt that their portrayal of a doctor and patient has won many hearts, the audience definitely wished to see them in a more romantic equation. We were given a glimpse of what could have happened when the ending of the film hinted at both the characters having feelings for each other, but that angle wasn’t explored further in the film. Now after 5 long years of wait, the stars are reuniting again for another project.

Before you get your hopes up, let us tell you that even in this latest venture you won’t see Shah Rukh Khan and Alia Bhatt working together in a romantic equation. In fact, this time SRK’s production house Red Chillies Entertainment is going to be producing Alia Bhatt’s next film Darlings.

Alia Bhatt has heard the story for Darlings and she has already loved the script. She has already said yes to doing the film and the official announcement for the same is expected to be done within the coming week.

Set against a middle-class backdrop, Darlings is the story of a Mother-Daughter duo, that deals with various obstacles that life throws at them while finding courage and love in exceptional circumstances. According to reports, Alia Bhatt’s mother’s role will be essayed by actress Shefali Shah. The makers are planning to release the film before the year ends, and thus it is expected to be on floors soon.

The actress will be next seen in Brahmastra alongside real-life beau, Ranbir Singh.
