However, B-Town folks didn’t disappoint us. Dressed up in ethnic outfits, stars like Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Deepika Padukone, Shilpa Shetty and many others gave their fans a glimpse of their Diwali 2020 celebrations.
Priyanka, who is in currently in London with hubby Nick Jonas, posted a beautiful picture on her social media where the duo is seen holding diyas as they looked into each other’s eyes. The actor also sent in Diwali wishes to her fans and family. Deepika, meanwhile, celebrated her second marriage anniversary with husband and actor Ranveer Singh. The lovable couple shared a bunch of happy pictures. The duo donned ethnic outfits as they were captured candidly. The actors also wished Diwali to their fans with the below picture.
Kareena Kapoor Khan was spotted along with her son Taimur Ali Khan as they flew to Dharamshala to celebrate Diwali with husband Saif Ali Khan. Kareena was also accompanied by bestie Malaika Arora as the latter too was on her way to Dharamshala with her beau Arjun Kapoor. Both Saif and Arjun are shooting in the picturesque locale for their upcoming movie Bhoot Police. Kareena took to social media to share a video where she was seen enjoying a bonfire with her husband Saif and son Taimur. The actor also wished her fans on the occasion of Diwali and asked them to stay safe amid pandemic.
Kareena and Malaika’s pics have gone viral on the internet. In the pictures, Malaika is seen donning a beautiful golden outfit while Kareena opted for a minimal print white kurta paired with red dupatta. Alia Bhatt celebrated Diwali with her beau Ranbir Kapoor. It was an intimate celebration with Alia looking stunning in a black outfit while Ranbir looked dapper in a red kurta.
Mom-to-be Anushka Sharma also shared a picture in a gorgeous white suit as she wished everyone on the occasion of Diwali. She also mentioned that she got dressed up to stay at home and eat to her heart’s content. Superstar Salman Khan also wished Happy Deepavali by sharing a picture of him in a red printed kurta. Katrina Kaif and Shah Rukh Khan also shared pictures on their respective social media handles wishing everyone a Happy Diwali. South star Rajinikanth also celebrated Diwali at his residence with his family. The Thalaiva was seen posing for the paps and bursting crackers in the pictures shared on social media.

Sanjay Dutt was spotted celebrating Diwali in Dubai with actor Mohanlal and his wife. He also shared a separate post on his social media with his family wishing everyone on the occasion. Ajay Devgn rang in Deepavali with his family, however his wife Kajol and daughter were missing in the family pictures. Madhuri Dixit Nene wished fans with a beautiful video and gave a glimpse of her celebrations with a family picture. Shilpa Shetty donned an Anita Dongre couture as she enjoyed the festivities with her husband and kids. Actor Shahid Kapoor, who was away for work, came home just in time for the festival of lights. He and wife Mira were spotted twinning in black outfits as they shared a picture on social media.

Anil Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor, who are shooting for the film Jug Jugg Jeeyo in Chandigarh, also celebrated the festival together. Celebrities like Kiara Advani, Athiya Shetty, Sanya Malhotra, Tara Sutaria and Sanjana Sanghi supported local brands as they set the Internet on fire with her adorable outfits. Janhvi Kapoor and her sister Khushi Kapoor donned Manish Malhotra couture for Diwali pooja with their father Boney Kapoor. Ayushmann Khurrana’s Diwali celebration was all about social distancing. The actor shared pictures on social media where his family members were seen twinning in white outfits as they donned masks and followed social distancing protocols.
