Deepika Padukone has been seen portraying countless complex and interesting characters with utmost conviction. She has graced us with her presence on the big screens time and again, and continued to impress us beyond our imagination. The actor, who was last seen in the 2020 Meghna Gulzar directorial Chhapaak, has now apparently been approached for the next film in the Dhoom series. Makers of Dhoom 4 reportedly approached the actor with the film’s script not too long ago and hoped to sign her for the project. While other films of the series have had male actors such as John Abraham, Hrithik Roshan and Aamir Khan in the negative lead roles, Dhoom 4 is set to feature a female actor as its antagonist this time. This is because the makers of the film intended on executing this film a little differently than they have before and thought it was best suited for Deepika to take on the role.

A lady busy with her work, Deepika loved the script of Dhoom 4 and hopes to make time for the film in her schedule. Although she has not officially confirmed anything about signing the film, sources say she is set to sign it soon. While the antagonist might be a woman this time, the audience will continue to see Abhishek Bachchan and Uday Chopra in their popular roles of cops just like in the other films in the Dhoom series.
