Did You Know Ameesha Patel Had Sued Her Father For Rs 12 Crores?

Ameesha Patel celebrated her 45th birthday on June 9, 2021, and while she shot to fame with Kaho Na Pyaar Hai, there are several facts about her personal life that are jaw-dropping. Did you know that Ameesha, whose name is a mix of her father Amit and Mother Asha, had a rather rocky relationship with her parents? At one point, Ameesha declared that her parents were using her money for wrong things and sued her father Amit Patel for rupees 12 crores!

According to reports, Ameesha’s father who had been handling her accounts had invested all the money to revive a business and was enraged by his move.

Back then, Ameesha was in love with married director Vikram Bhatt. They met on the sets of Aap Mujhe Acche Lagne Lage Hai and Ameesha even starred in Vikram Bhatt’s film Ankahee which is seemed to have drawn a lot from his own life. Ameesha played the role of Vikram Bhatt’s forgotten wife, Aditi. The two got close and fell in love. Ameesha’s parents did not approve of it at all. Ameesha openly talked about this in interviews as well. She admitted that her mother once saw her with Vikram at 4 am and beat her up with “chappals.”

Ameesha has allegedly said that her mother beat her up several times while she was in a relationship with Vikram and after her lawsuit, her mother threw her out of the house too! Ameesha went to live with Vikram for a year before the couple decided to part ways, ending a five-year-long love story. A year after her break up, Ameesha Patel was able to mend her relationship with her parents too!

After that, Ameesha dated businessman Kanav Puri for almost two years between 2008 to 2010, but they parted ways. She was also linked with Ranbir Kapoor as there were a few snaps of the two at some private gatherings, but not much came of it.
