Kajol and Ajay Devgn are considered to be one of the power couples of Bollywood. The duo had dated for almost 5 years before they tied the knot. But surely they’ve dated other people in the past too! While many Bollywood couples make headlines with their love stories, only a few openly talk about it. Most of the couples are just “rumoured” to be in love. One such couple in Bollywood was Kajol and Akshay Kumar. Yes, you heard that right! Apparently, Kajol had a massive crush on Akshay Kumar before she met Ajay Devgn.

Akshay Kumar was all the rage in the 90s and he still continues to be the same. Although, when his debut film Saugandh released, along with a lot of fangirls, he also earned the privilege of being Bollywood actress Kajol’s biggest crush. Revealing this 90s rumour to be true, Kajol’s childhood friend, Karan Johar recalled an incident from the premier of the 1991 film Henna. He said, “All through the premiere, Kajol was looking for Akshay Kumar and I became her support. Who knows, perhaps, I too was seeking him. At the end of it, we could not get Akshay but found each other.”

Soon after that in the next year, Kajol made her Bollywood debut with the film Bekhudi, after which she was rumoured to be dating Kamal Sadanah. Later, Kajol and Akshay also did a film together titled, Yeh Dillagi. However, by then she was probably done with her crush.

In 1995, Kajal and Ajay Devgn met during their first film Hulchal. And the rest as they say is history. They’re a happily married couple now with two amazing kids.
