Least we know that Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone had gone through depression. Now, singer Shaan has expressed his views on mental health and admitted that he was clueless about it first. The singer also said that when actress Deepika Padukone opened up about her battle with depression and also thought about what could have pushed it.

Looking back in 2014, Deepika Padukone was interpreted with depression, and since then, she has been a massive proponent of the same to destigmatize mental health issues. Singer Shaan in the chat show hosted by Mandira Bedi has opened up on his views about Mental health. He said that Deepika Padukone has a foundation named Live Love Laugh. Back then, the actress talked about mental health and clinical depression.

Shaan further said that the naysayer and the stupid idiot in him at that point was like it is Deepika Padukone, who is one of the most successful actors. She has had the most supportive parents and she even started right up there then, why would she go through depression? He added that he did not read or understand enough about all these new terms. There was a time when his wife Radhika was diagnosed with clinical depression when he understood those terms. The Indian singer went on to add that he took it personally until he realised that it’s a chemical thing and prescription is a vital function.

Meanwhile speaking of the work of Shaan, his single song Tanha Dil 2.0 was released back in the month of October. His song successfully created a special place in the heart of the audience with the softening lyrics of the song. Deepika Padukone on the other hand was last seen in 83 playing the role of Kapil Dev’s wife Romi. She will also be seen in Pathan. The actress has several other films in her kitty including The Intern.
