Swadesh has been one of the most successful movies which were released in the year 2004. The movie has successfully completed 17years. The film revolves around an NRI NASA scientist named Mohan Bhargava who comes back to India just to meet his caretaker and wanted to take her with him back to the US. However, things don’t go accordingly to his plan and rather make some kind of strong bond with him which is unbreakable.

The film was being been directed by Ashutosh Gowariker. It is known as one of the best works of both the actor and director. But According to the sources, the movie is based on the 90’s show which use to telecast over Zeetv by the name of Vapasi. In the show, Ashutosh himself played the lead role and later fall in love with a girl named Geeta.

Not only that, but Swades celebrated his 17th birthday on this occasion, and the director took to Twitter to recount how difficult it was for him to cast the actors for specific roles.

Ashutosh Gowariker has been one of the best directors of the Bollywood Industry. The director started his career as an actor was seen in several television shows like Circus, CID.He has also been seen in many movies like Naam ,Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa, and Chamatkar.

Ashutosh started his directorial debut with the movie Pehla Nasha and the second film Baazi. Further on he had made movies like Jodha Akbar, Lagaan Mohenjo Daro, and many more.

Ashutosh has received numerous awards for his work on the film Laagan, which he co-wrote with Aamir Khan. He has also received awards for best director, best screenplay, and best dialogue for the film. Not only that but he was also praised for his performance in the film Jodha Akbar.
