Both of them dated for around 2 years and were madly in love. The whole family, including Salman Khan, knew about the couple and approved of them. In fact, Arjun was the one to tell the whole family about their relationship. One day, Arpita decided to pull the breaks on this relationship and that reportedly left Arjun heartbroken. However, if reports are to be believed, the reason for the breakup was Arjun’s closeness with Malaika Arora.

In a throwback interview, Arjun Kapoor had mentioned how he shared an amazing bond with Salman Khan. Despite dating his sister, Salman always supported Arjun in any relationship arguments. In fact, he became Arjun’s mentor, guide and also considered him like his own younger brother. However, all of that changed once he started dating Malaika Arora.
