Dil Bechara Actress Sanjana Sanghi To Star In ‘Stree’ Prequel Titled ‘Munjha’

Sanjana Sanghi is slowly and steadily finding a place in Bollywood and is busy creating a name for herself. After her delayed yet successful debut in ‘Dil Bechara’ opposite late actor Sushant Singh Rajput, the actress was instantly adored by the audience. She later signed a film called, ‘OM – The Battle Within’ and had already started shooting for the same. Recently, as per reports, this beautiful actress has been roped in for her 3rd film titled, ‘Munjha’.

According to reports, producer Dinesh Vijan is planning to build a horror-comedy universe, combining all his movies in the genre. Starting with ‘Stree’ starring Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao released in 2017, followed by ‘Roohi’ featuring Rajkummar Rao, Janhvi Kapoor, and Varun Sharma which is to be released on 11th March, 2021, and the 2022 release ‘Bhediya’ starring Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon. Adding to this list is Sanjana Sanghi’s Munjha’.

‘Munjha’ is reported to be the prequel to the 2017 hit horror-comedy, ‘Stree’, and the last film in Dinesh Vijan’s horror-comedy universe. Dinesh Vijan is currently planning to make the film in such a way that all the characters cross paths at a certain point in time, similar to Rohit Shetty’s cop universe.

Apparently, Sanjana’s role was first offered to Alia Bhatt, but since the actress didn’t have any dates available, the film was offered to Sanjana. The Dil Bechara actress, who liked the script immediately agreed to do the film. ‘Munjha’ is reported to go on floors in 2021 itself.
