Dimple Kapadia, Farhan Akhtar And Others Set To Make Multiple Announcements In 2021

Due to the nationwide lockdown in 2020, several projects in the entertainment industry got hampered. While many films’ shootings were put to a halt, many also postponed their release dates. Several stars were away from the celluloid in 2020 and now, with the permission to begin shooting with several protocols, a bunch of celebs like Dimple Kapadia, Madhuri Dixit Nene, Bobby Deol and Farhan Akhtar are gearing up for their upcoming outings in 2021 after a good long break. Here are some deets about their ventures.

Speaking about Bobby Deol, the actor is set to begin the shooting for Apne 2, the sequel to his 2007 film, alongside brother Sunny and father Dharmendra. More so, he has Love Hostel in his kitty and he is thinking of being a part of the sequel of his 1998 movie, Soldier, that garnered positive reviews from the audience. However, the actor has not revealed much about it. Meanwhile, Madhuri Dixit is in talks with the Yash Raj team for her upcoming venture. Not only this but she is also in talks with filmmaker Karan Johar and fans are all excited to hear an announcement from her end. Apart from this, it’s reported that she also has a Sanjay Leela Bhansali project under her belt.

Dimple Kapadia, who was last seen in Christopher Nolan’s Tenet, recently made her appearance in the Tandav trailer. Entertainment buffs will get to see her in a couple of movies and shows in 2021, including Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra. Farhan Akhtar, on the other hand, will be seen in Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s upcoming directorial, Toofan. If rumours are to be believed, this year, he will also announce the sequel to his 2001’s hit film, Dil Chahta Hai, a film that chronicles the tale of three friends and how they evolve in life, career and relationships. The movie starred Aamir Khan, Saif Ali Khan, Akshaye Khanna, Preity Zinta and Dimple Kapadia. While Farhan would probably produce the movie, the direction will be taken over by someone else. Apart from this, the latest rumours also state that he will be seen playing the lead role in the biography of the famous poet- Sahir Ludhianvi.
