Doctors Day: 5 Onscreen Doctors Like Preeta And Chahat We Admire

In India, the National Doctors‘ Day is celebrated on July 1 .

Dr Preeta Karan Luthra from Kundali Bhagya

Kundali Bhagya’s Preeta (Shraddha Arya) is actually a physiotherapist who first enters the Luthra house as a physiotherapist to treat Dadi! She later even works with the Indian Cricket team to ensure that the players are fit and fine as they practise. Each time there is a sprain or a fracture on the show, Preeta is the one who is called for help! She is also very adept at general medicine and often knows what to do in situations where someone is hurt even if it is not related to physiotherapy!

Dr Veer in Apna Time Bhi Aayega

The calm and composed Veer (Fahmaan Khan) in Apna Time Bhi Aayega is actually a doctor. He is one of the most famous doctors in Jaipur and belongs to a royal family. The first time he meets Rani is when he is about to run her over! Then he steps out of his car and lectures her about medicine! He tells her how she would have hurt her feet, then her brain and how the accident could have led to her full body paralysis! Veer is the epitome of a kind and smart doctor!

Dr Harsh in Kyun Rishton Mein Katti Batti

Dr Harsh (Yash Sinha) is one of the coolest characters on the show and reminds us of Shah Rukh Khan’s Jug in Dear Zindagi as well! He is kind-hearted and warm. He is great with kids and very perceptive as well. Shubhra (Neha Marda) consults Dr Harsh to be Rishi’s therapist after she realises that her son has been greatly affected by his parent’s separation and has developed anger issues. She has nothing to worry about as Rishi is now in the best hands possible!

Dr Chahat from Qurbaan Hua

Just like her father Dr Baig, Chahat (Pratibha Ranta) too is a doctor. She loves and respects her father a lot and follows his footsteps and becomes a doctor when suddenly he disappears and Neel blames him for his sister Saraswati’s death! After Neel and Chahat are married they keep this fact a secret for a while before Chahat is forced to save Vyasji and perform a medical procedure. Later she openly admits having gone to medical college and getting a medical degree.

Dr Simran from Astitva Ek Prem Kahani

Dr Simran (Niki Aneja Walia) is a gynaecologist who is great at what she does and this makes her a renowned doctor in the medical field. She is not only talented but patient and extremely giving. She falls for a man 10 years her junior and struggles with problems that come with it. She is in her mid-thirties when her parents start worrying about her unmarried status, but at that point, she’s flourishing in her career! She goes through many hurdles on the show including a complicated pregnancy, a turbulent marriage, her husband’s unfaithfulness and even losing her daughter. Astitva was among the best shows that ever aired on Zee TV.
