Durgamati: Bhumi Pednekar Collaborates With Akshay Kumar, Know More About The Ambitious Project
Bhumi Pednekar and Akshay Kumar have collaborated for a movie titled Durgamati where Bhumi plays the role of an officer. The film is co-produced by Akshay Kumar
The trailer of Durgamati starring Bhumi Pednekar in the leading role is finally out. This thriller is the official Hindi remake of the 2018 hit Telugu film Bhaagamathie which starred popular South Indian actress Anushka Shetty in the lead role. The film is directed by Bhaagamathie’s director G. Ashok and produced by actor Akshay Kumar, Bhushan Kumar, and Vikram Kumar.

Durgamati is the story of an innocent government officer who is made the victim of a major conspiracy involving powerful forces. In the trailer, Arshad Warsi can be seen being called a corrupt politician, and to catch him an investigating officer played by Mahie Gill hires Bhumi’s character for the task. The movie also stars Jishu Sengupta and Karan Kapadia in prominent roles.
In an interview with PTI Bhumi said “Durgavati is going to take me in horror space. It is the most challenging and special film for me as it is for the first time the responsibility will be on my shoulders. Durgavati is something I’m most pressured and excited about. Akshay sir is a genius, I respect him”
Directed by Ashok, the movie is a thrilling, scary ride that tells the story of an innocent Government officer who is made the victim of a major conspiracy involving powerful forces. The film is presented by T-Series and Cape of Good Films and is an Abundantia Entertainment production. (ANI). The series is all set to release on Amazon Prime on December 11.
Akshay Kumar also took to Twitter to announce the release date. He wrote, “Are you ready?. Meet #DurgamatiOnPrime on Dec 11, @PrimeVideoIN.”
