Ekta Kapoor, Ankita Lokhande and Dr Harish Shetty come together for #HarRishtaKhaas,a a unique initiative for the awareness of mental health.

Mental health problems are more prevalent today than we realise. And yet, so many of us hesitate to discuss them. We will enunciate openly about any sort of other physical pain but will hide our mental discomfort – even from those we are near to. The isolation, discredit and absence of cognition around mental health must stop!

The Pavitra Rishta Fund is committed to creating conversations around mental health and supporting those in need. We at ZEE5 believe in the cause #HarRishtaKhaas, and there is always light at the end of the tunnel.

With your support, the fund Promises to:

Fight the stigma that limits us from acknowledging our own mental health concerns and seeking help. Create awareness of the types of mental health problems – their signs, symptoms, and ways of coping. Build support systems that allow everyone – irrespective of financial constraints – to access the help they need.

This initiative helps one understand mental health better.

Ekta Kapoor, Ankita Lokhande, and Dr Harish Shetty, who is a Psychiatrist and has an experience of 38 years in this field are coming together for this and supporting this important cause.

Our mental health is impacted or encompassed by a mixture of factors. Life events and genetics are the obvious ones but are not the only influencers. Our propensity, such as how we have internalised childhood ordeals, poor self-esteem or concept of self, and/or negative internal thought procedures can boost the likelihood of having inadequate mental health.

If an individual has such a predilection and contests aggravating life circumstances or any loss, they are more inclined to braving negatively and formulating cognitive illness.

Mental health issues, however, exist along a continuum and can wander from modest and scattered anxiety to hazardous and debilitating conditions. You do not need to have a mental illness or disorder to have unhappy mental health. If your mental health causes complications in your day to day functioning, work responsibilities, interpersonal relations or affects your state of mind, you can pursue professional help. You don’t need to have depression to go to treatment. You don’t need to have panic attacks to seek help for the low levels of anxiety you are experiencing. If there is anything that interferes or prevents you from being your best self.

You can seek also seek help and donate for this cause.
