Emraan Hashmi Recalls The Time John When Abraham Supported Him Post His Son’s Cancer Diagnosis

In the showbiz world, many actors tend to form a ‘friend circle’ which remains for a lifetime. And our Hindi film industry is not an exception to this. During special screenings or noteworthy events, the actors are often see bonding with their industry buddies. However, some actors prefer to stay away from the spotlight and Emraan Hashmi is one of them. The actor is rarely seen at any of the B-town events but often impresses his fans with his performances. Recently, Emraan recalled the moment when his co-star John Abraham called him during his tough time. 

Emraan Hashmi and John Abraham will be sharing screen space for the first time in the upcoming film Mumbai Saga. During the press conference of the film, Emraan got emotional as he shared a heartwarming story admiring his co-star John. The actor revealed that John was among the two industry friends who reached out to him when his son Ayaan was diagnosed with cancer.

Emraan was quoted saying, “When my son was diagnosed (with cancer), I received two calls from the industry and John was the first one. And I remember I was sitting outside the ICU and John called me and he said ‘Emraan if you need anything, I’m always there’ and that really moved me. And so I have great admiration for him.”

Also, appreciating John’s work ethic, Emraan said, “I have the utmost respect for John ever since he started off (in the industry). We used to meet at Bhatt Sahab’s (Mahesh Bhatt) office when he was working on his debut Jism. We have known each other for a very long. But you really get aware of an actor’s work ethic when you work with him. And I appreciate that John is always on time on the sets and he is completely involved.”

Next, Emraan mentioned that no one could have played Amartya Rao better than John did in Mumbai Saga. For those unaware, Mumbai Saga is directed by Sanjay Gupta and it will feature John Abraham and Emran Hashmi in the lead roles. The film is scheduled to have a theatrical release on March 19, 2021.
