Exclusive: I Dislike Soham But Understand Him, Says Agga Bai Sasubai Actor Ashutosh Patki

Due to the ongoing lockdown, it is impossible to conduct social gatherings, even if they are meant to praise and applaud someone. But ZEE5’s monthly award function #HighFiveWithZEE5 still made the latter possible through a video conference that was joined by celebs from various industries including Marathi. The actors graced the virtual event from the comfort of their homes and answered questions asked by fans, journalists and the host. Agga Bai Sasubai’s star cast including Ashutosh Patki, Girish Oak, Nivedita Saraf, and Tejashri Pradhan attended the video conference and were congratulated for the popularity of their show.

Agga Bai Sasubai won an award for being the most-watched show on ZEE5 and the stars could not contain their excitement. The host asked them how they felt and complimented Girish aka Abhijeet Raje for a quirky and interesting background in his room filled with emoticons! How cute is that? Girish spoke about his character and said that he relates to Abhijeet quite a bit. The host then went on to ask Ashutosh if he liked his character of Soham. The actor revealed that he dislikes Soham but also tries to understand his perspective and his attitude. He added that Soham loves his mother and this makes him behave in a certain manner which is deemed unacceptable by everyone else, including the audience. However, he said that he enjoys playing the role and has no regrets about it.

The host agreed with Ashutosh stating that Soham’s reason cannot be held invalid. She further talked to them about the recent developments on the show and laughed at the scene in which Asawari had slapped Soham for his misbehavior towards Shubhra. The host then asked Nivedita to plead as Asawari would, asking Soham to stay indoors during the lockdown. Nivedita happily obliged and enacted the scene like a total pro that she is! The host then asked Tejashri to portray how Shubhra would reprimand Soham. The actress said that Shubhra would ask him to stay home and to never come back if he steps out! Everyone had a hearty laugh over this.
