EXCLUSIVE! Sharad Kelkar: I Am Waiting For Agent Raghav To Be Made Into A Web Series

On a fine Wednesday evening, I had the opportunity to interview and breathe the same air as two of the most insanely talented and extremely handsome screen heroes – Jimmy Sheirgill and Sharad Kelkar. What do you do when you enter a room with two such dapper men sitting in front of you? On my left, across the table was Jimmy, who, by the way, hasn’t aged since Mohabbatein, sporting a swagster avatar and looking charming beyond words. Sharad’s deep baritone and an easy-breezy, casual look was a tonic for my tired eyes, as his towering persona cast a spell nobody in the office building could have escaped. These two acting stalwarts shall be seen together in the upcoming ZEE5 Original Rangbaaz Phirse. However, my conversation with them wasn’t just restricted to the web series alone.

Jimmy and Sharad also touched upon subjects that delved deeper into their respective career graphs, innings on the silver and small screen, the emergence of and advancements on web, etc. At one point, the actors even talked about the latest trends pioneered by ZEE5 – introducing digital spin-offs for television shows. Sharad, who has played quite a remarkable inning on Indian television and amassed a huge fan following, mentioned how he is waiting for his And TV show Agent Raghav to be made into a web series.

For those unaware, ZEE5 introduced the trend of taking forward television franchises onto the web universe and bringing about digital spin-offs for daily soaps. The OTT platform has already streamed the web spin-off of Ishq Subhan Allah, titled Ishq Aaj Kal, which has enjoyed four seasons so far. Jamai 2.0, a continuation of the Jamai Raja franchise in the web series world, starred the lead couple of the serial, Ravi Dubey and Nia Sharma as Siddharth and Roshni. While more series will be added soon to the collection, for now, Sharad Kelkar wants Agent Raghav to be brought to the web world.

In our exclusive interaction, Sharad, admitted, “I am waiting for Rangbaaz Phirse to be made into something on the web. I am sure a lot of people are waiting for it,” revealed the Saat Phere star.
