EXCLUSIVE: Sunny Leone Talks About Karenjit Kaur, Career In India, Daniel Weber And Kids

The biopic of sorts walks us through the sensational journey of India’s Most Googled celebrity Sunny Leone. The web series shows how she went from being a girl-next-door Karenjit Kaur to the hot Sunny Leone whose videos, songs and photos made an entire generation go crazy about her. Directed by Aditya Datt, the digital project makes juicy revelations about Sunny Leone’s history, family, boyfriend-turned-husband Daniel Weber and traces her transformation from an adult film star to a popular Bollywood mainstream actress.

Ahead of the finale episodes of Karenjit Kaur, we had an exclusive conversation with Sunny. In a tete-a-tete with us, the actress spoke at length about life in India, touching upon her career’s highs and lows as well. She also made some interesting revelations about her husband Daniel Weber, mothering three kids – Nisha Kaur Weber, Asher Singh Weber and Noah Singh Weber and more. Q. If presented with an opportunity, would you like to travel back to the United States of America to work in Hollywood?

A. I have no interest or plans to go there. Other than this beautiful home that I own, that I never see, this is my home. And the last puzzle piece is now here, our dog, she’ll live out her happy last days here because she is old, and you know, this is what I consider home.

Q. Which point in your career would you term as the lowest? Did you ever feel there was no coming back from but you did, rising like a phoenix from the ashes?

A. There definitely have been couple of moments or times, at least before Ibrahim came to us, where we just were having such a hard time getting control over articles and people who were doing some really shady things with us. I remember Daniel saying, ‘Look, I don’t know what to do, we might just have to pack up and leave and be done. I don’t know how to handle this. This is beyond anything that I have ever dealt with or can. These people are threatening your life or they are threatening to come pick you up and take you away, like crazy stuff.’ And I remember talking to him and going, ‘Look, I am not done yet. I am not done and we have to figure it out. And I don’t wanna be done. Let’s just work through the steps, a process, step by step of how we are going to resolve this situation.’ And he is very resilient to my pep talks which are good you know we worked through it. Every bump in the road helped us grow as a team.

Q. Tell us one thing about your husband that nobody knows.

A. That he is extremely goofy. He might look a little intimidating but he is so funny.

Q. 3 things your daughter Nisha loves

A. Mom, dad and her brothers.

Q. 3 things you do before going to bed.

A. Wash my face, brush my teeth and kiss my kids’ goodnight.

Q. If you could swap your life with one celebrity, who’d it be and why?

A. Marilyn Monroe. ‘Coz she is just awesome! She is amazing.

Q. One thing you wish people stop asking you.

A. ‘Do I speak Hindi?’
