Farhan Akhtar is one of the lot, who has decided to present the story in the form of a web series and the project has already gone on the floors, a few months back. The content of this upcoming series is expected to be adapted from the famous book, Dongri to Dubai. Ram Gopal Varma is also another renowned director who is planning to make a web show on the same topic. The series is currently in the pre-production stage and fans are already excited to witness what he has in store.

Farhan Akhtar’s series is already underway and fans have been quite elated to see what the actor has been creating since the last few months. He had announced the series last year and has been finishing up the shooting schedule in different parts of the world. His series is expected to be based on the book Dongri to Dubai: Six Decades of the Mumbai Mafia, which has been written by Hussain Zaidi.

Ram Gopal Varma, on the other hand, recently announced his web series titled D Company, that will go on the floors soon. He stated that he had done immense research for this upcoming series and is also quite excited for the venture. Speaking about Farhan Akhtar’s version, Ram Gopal Varma said that he does not feel threatened and he wants the best one to get more attention. Another such story which has been used and reused in the Bollywood and OTT world is the Harshad Mehta story as it carries a lot of drama and promising content.
