Flashback: How Telugu Superstar Mahesh Babu Fell In Love With Bollywood Diva Namrata Shirodkar

Throughout the last decade, the wave of dubbed south movies has made the regional actors quite popular all across the nation. And one such name is of Telugu superstar Mahesh Babu. The actor who has appeared in an array of Telugu blockbusters has an eager fan following. Mahesh Babu has been happily married for 16 years to Bollywood actor-model Namrata Shirodkar. While the duo often shares heartwarming social media posts for each other, they have set couple goals for their fans. Mahesh and Namrata are doting parents to two children, Gautham and Sitara. And even after 16 years of marital bliss, the bond between the couple continues to go strong. So, now here’s a quick peek into their sweet love story.

Both Mahesh and Namrata entered the showbiz in the late 90s, however, in different film industries. Years after earning the Miss India title in 1993,  Namrata made her Bollywood debut with the Salman Khan starrer Jab Pyaar Kisise Hota Hai in 1998. On the other hand, Mahesh featured as a lead in the 1999 Telugu film Raja Kumarudu.

It was somewhere in 1999-2000 when Namrata and Mahesh were approached to star in the film Vamsi. The two were roped in to play the lead pair. And both the actors first met on the film’s muharat and reportedly fell in love at first sight. They spent quality time with each other while shooting for the film Vamsi. And by the end of the shooting schedule, it was reported that the actors were dating each other.

However, the duo never acknowledged their relationship. And after dating for almost five years and keeping their relationship a secret, Mahesh and Namrata tied the knot in 2005. The couple got married in a private ceremony. It was in 2016 that they were blessed with a baby boy, Gautham. Also, the duo welcomed their second child, Sitara in 2012.

In many interviews, Namrata had shared how family comes first for Mahesh Babu, even before his stardom. Also, the duo never misses out on a chance to express their love for each other via adorable Instagram posts. And that’s one of the reasons why fans drool over this star couple.
