From Anuradha Ray to Moni, here’s how these characters proved that a mother-in-law can be as caring as a mother

Although 2020 was a difficult year, many of us were lucky enough to stay surrounded by amazing people. Similarly, many of our favourite characters were fortunate enough to be blessed with supportive, caring and affectionate mothers-in-law in their lives, as opposed to the usual not so nice ones. Being able to have a mother-in-law who loves and supports you through ups and downs and pushes you to do better just as our own mother would, is simply a blessing and Anuradha, Moni and the others proved to be the same.

Anuradha Sen

Time and again, we witnessed Ki Kore Bolbo Tomay’s Anuradha Sen stand by Radhika’s side throughout this year. She proved that she can be a mother-in-law who is no less than a mother. Not only did Radhika’s mother-in-law support her through thick and thin, but she also took her side when Karna was in the wrong. From helping Radhika manage work and household chores when Thammi caused trouble to effectively helping Radhika expose Joy’s criminal behaviour, Anuradha did it all.

Moni

Being Radhika’s mother in Ki Kore Bolbo Tomay, Moni was always loved and appreciated by her daughter. But ever since Karna and Radhika’s marriage, Moni found another child in Karna. From bonding with him and making fun of Radhika to helping each other out in times of need, they discovered a new connection and it is just adorable!

Mrs. Choudhury

Shyama’s mother-in-law in Krishnakoli is another amazing woman we got to know this year. From taking care of Shyama when they lived together to always supporting, she did it all. Shyama’s mother-in-law did everything she can once her daughter-in-law became more of a daughter to her. To this day, she reminisces everything Shyama did at the house before Nikhil and Shyama got tragically separated.

Anuradha Ray

Jamuna Dhaki’s Anuradha Ray was repeatedly seen supporting Jamuna through every difficult situation that she faced at home. From letting her practice for her Dhak contest to letting her take over the household finances, Anuradha supported Jamuna at every point.

Rani Maa

Being a motherly figure to many, Rani Maa constantly pushes people around her to do better in life. So given the role of a mother-in-law, she never failed to do it right, especially with Mathurbabu. From being a constant support system to being a guiding light, she took over the role of a true mother to Mathurbabu and it is an adorable thing to watch.
