From Malika Sherawat To Esha Gupta: These B-town Actresses Over Exposed On Screen, But Couldn’t Succeed

Bollywood films have turned quite bold over the years. While in the 60s and 70s, intimate scenes were quite rare, as time passed by, the industry evolved and films got bolder. Earlier, many Bollywood actresses have exposed quite a few times on screen but did not succeed in Bollywood. These scenes did not contribute much to their film career in the industry.

Bollywood has come a long way when it comes to bold and intimate scenes. But even though some Bollywood actresses have exposed in their films, they have not found success in the industry. Many of these actresses have even quit the industry and rarely make headlines.

Starting with Bollywood actor Tanushree Dutta. She marked her debut in Bollywood with the film Aashiq Banaya Aapne. She starred alongside actor Emraan Hashmi in this film, and the two had quite a few intimate scenes in the movie. She grabbed eyeballs for that film, but could not sustain in the industry for long. Some years back, Tanushree Dutta made headlines in the industry due to the #MeToo Movement.

Next up on this list is actor Mallika Sherawat. Mallika marked her Bollywood debut with the film, Khwaahish. The film made quite a few headlines since it had 17 kissing scenes between the lead pair. The film Murder further cemented Sherawat’s place in the industry and this film also had a few intimate scenes. Sherawat also did the same in a few Hollywood projects, but could not sustain for long in the industry.

Sunny Leone is also part of this list. Sunny Leone first marked her appearance in India with the reality show Bigg Boss. She familiarized the Indian audience with her life story and soon was cast in Jism 2. Just like Mallika Sherawat, Sunny Leone had a few bold scenes in the film. Since Jism 2, Sunny has done quite a lot of intimate scenes in her films. But these scenes have not helped her to bag interesting and big-budget films in Bollywood.

Udita Goswami is fourth actor on this list. She marked her debut in Bollywood with the film, Paap. The Mahesh Bhatt directed film, featured few intimate scenes between Udita Goswami and John Abraham. After Paap, Udita featured in a few films but soon stepped away from the limelight. Next up on this list is Geeta Basra. She has also performed a few bold scenes in her films, but this did not catapult her career in the industry. Now, the Bollywood actor is happily married to cricketer Harbhajan Singh. Actors like Esha Gupta and Sherlyn Chopra suffered the same fate and have performed a few bold scenes in their filmography but these scenes did not contribute much to their success.
