The first among the famous mothers is Saranya Ponvannan, who ventured into Tamil industry as an actress. Kavitha Ranjini who is also known as Urvasi is as an actress who created a name for herself in the late ’90s for playing character roles. Some of her roles essayed in Malayalam movies have set the benchmark in the acting arena. Apart from her effortless acting style, she is also known for her comic sense. Later, when she switched to playing mother roles in the movies she was a real entertainer. Undoubtedly she became the funniest of all the mother and made her a favourite icon.

Introduced by the late director K. Balachander, Renuka began her career as a television actress and later shifted to films. She has played roles in both Malayalam and Tamil films with prominent actors. Even when she started playing the role of a mother she has been praised for her realistic performances.

Raadhika is the daughter of the late Tamil actor and comedian, Mohan R. Radha.  She is known for her powerful roles that she had essayed in the Tamil cinema. N

Zareena Moidu better known by her stage name Nadhiya Moidu is known for her ageless beauty. Her roles in Tamil and Malayalam movies had always been impactful and memorable.
