Good Friday Spl: 7 TV Characters Who Sacrificed Their Lives For Others’ Sins Like Pragya And Veer

Good Friday, observed on the Friday preceding Easter is the day commemorating the crucifixion of Jesus and his death at Calvary. It is said that Lord Jesus sacrificed his life for the sins of others. He lived for others and also passed away doing the same. While no one may be able to match up to his divinity, humans also make sacrifices for their loved ones. A great example of this is the Zee characters who were ready to sacrifice their own lives for others’ sins.

Today, on Good Friday, let us take a look at some instances when our favourite Zee characters took the blame for a crime they didn’t commit.

Veer(Apna Time Bhi Aayega)

Anybody who follows Apna Time Bhi Aayega knows what a dotting son Veer (Fahmaan Khan) is. He has always obeyed everything that Rajeshwari said and still continues to do the same. In the recent episodes, we saw how Veer took the blame for the accident, in his attempt to get Ramadheer out of jail. But now as the truth unfolds, we’re faced with the fact that it is Rajeshwari (Tanaaz Irani) who committed the crime. And just to save Rani Sa, Veer is readily sacrificing everything, knowing that this might cost him even his life.

Ramadheer(Apna Time Bhi Aayega)

Rani’s father Ramadheer was the driver at the Royal Palace of Jaipur. Although he didn’t want to be framed for such a heinous crime as driving a car over four people and killing them, Ramadheer was bound by duty and ended up taking the blame for the accident. He also proved his loyalty time and again, when he refused to accept the truth even in front of his own daughter.

Rani(Apna Time Bhi Aayega)

Looks like everyone on Apna Time Bhi Aayega is on a journey to take blames for someone else. Recently, Nandini stole money from the safe in her palace and Rajeshwari accused Rani (Megha Ray) of the crime. While Veer was rushing to her rescue, Rani accepted the blame just to save Nandini.

Ranbir(Kumkum Bhagya)

A long time ago, when #PranBir weren’t even in love, Ranbir (Krishna Kaul) had still gone ahead and taken the blame for something he didn’t do on Kumkum Bhagya. Prachi (Mugdha Chaphekar) was framed in a drug case, and there was nothing Abhi (Shabir Ahluwalia) or Purab could do to save her. Looking at his chief, Abhi, feel so helpless, Ranbir went ahead and took the blame without even thinking of the consequences. Although he was saved eventually, this could’ve cost him his entire future.

Preeta(Kundali Bhagya)

A similar incident happened in Kundali Bhagya a long time ago, when Karan Luthra (Dheeraj Dhoopar) was being framed in a fake drug case. But Sherlyn (Ruhi Chaturvedi) and Prithvi’s (Sanjay Gagnani) plan backfired when Preeta (Shraddha Arya) took the blame on herself, saving Karan from getting kicked out of the Indian Cricket team.

Kalyani(Tujhse Hai Raabta)

Kalyani’s (Reem Shaikh) love for Anupriya is evident from all the times Kalyani has been her rock through all the tough times in Tujhse Hai Raabta. One such incident is when Malhar (Sehban Azim) was trying to get Anupriya (Poorva Gokhale), who was going to college back then, arrested for carrying illegal cigarettes to class. Upon realizing this plan, Kalyani took the blame upon herself to save her Aai. She also got arrested and suspended from the college for doing the same.

Pragya(Kumkum Bhagya)

Pragya (Sriti Jha) has been Abhi’s shining ray of hope in multiple situations in Kumkum Bhagya. She has also taken blames for many crimes to save her loved ones. The same thing happened a long time ago when Abhi was responsible for an accident and a shopkeeper filed a case against him. Pragya took the blame upon herself and said that Abhi took the blame only to save her. Eventually, the shopkeeper withdrew the FIR saving both Abhi and Pragya.
