Nilesh Sable is one of the most celebrated comedians in recent times who rose to prominence with the comedy show Chala Hawa Yeu Dya. The actor is an absolute all-rounder who is seen donning many hats like anchor, writer, director for the show which is known for its hilarious sketches. Aside from this, Nilesh also acts as the show-stopper of the show by featuring in many of the comic acts. On the actor’s 34th birthday, we look at the eight times Nilesh left us in splits with his funny mimicries of various film and TV personalities.

We begin with Nilesh mimicking the National Award Winning Director of Sairat and Fandry, Nagraj Manjule. In one of the episodes of Chala Hawa Yeu Dya, Nagraj was present as a guest along with Swwapnil Joshi and Sai Tamhankar. Nilesh seized the opportunity to show off his talent before the acclaimed director. The actor made a grand entry displaying all the minute details of Nagraj’s behaviour, accent, and get-up. He then broke into a dance on the director’s popular song Zingaat which made even Nagraj burst into laughter. Watch it here.

Nilesh had once put on a show by himself when he had mimicked the Mulshi Pattern actor Pravin Tarde. The host of CHYD surprised everyone by matching Pravin’s look exactly, including his patent moustache. During one of the episodes, Aamir Khan and his wife Kiran Rao were called as the celebrity guests. So Nilesh decided to present the skit revolving around Aamir’s hit film Rangeela. The host then entered as Jackie Shroff’s character Kamal from the film. Aamir was so impressed with Nilesh’s impression of Jackie that he couldn’t stop hooting and clapping. Nilesh has also performed as Nana Patekar in Chala Hawa Yeu Dya. The host set the stage on fire with his get-up that strikingly resembled Patekar’s. Nilesh then went ahead to deliver the iconic monologue from Natasamrat with his own witty additions. Don’t miss watching this funny moment here.

To mark the occasion of Chala Hawa Yeu Dya’s 400th episode, the host decided to perform a special skit featuring all the leading politicians of Maharashtra. Nilesh got dressed as Raj Thackeray and delivered a bang-on performance like he always does. What followed was a laughter riot for all the guests and the audience members present in the studio. In one of the recent episodes of CHYD, the host became Sanju Baba aka Sanjay Dutt. He then interacted with the celebrity guest Mahesh Manjrekar who was awestruck with Nilesh’s quirky puns. You can check this part out here.

Makarand Deshpande and Sanjay Jadhav once appeared on CHYD to promote their show Maharashtracha Superstar. Nilesh created a parody of this show and presented it before the two guests. Nilesh’s mimicry of Agga Bai Sasubai‘s Ajoba definitely deserves a mention in this list. In one of the episodes, the comedian had recreated Abhijeet-Asawari’s wedding sequence on the show. During the act, he switched the character with Nana Patekar which left everyone including the cast of Agga Bai Sasubai in splits. After looking at this act, we can’t help but wonder at the sheer talent that Nilesh possesses.
