Bollywood actress and fitness guru Shilpa Shetty recently shared a video of her performing yoga on social media and the fans are loving it. In the video, Shilpa can be seen doing what seems to an Eka pada Kapotasana while sporting a pink tank top and dark blue legging. The 45-year-old fitness enthusiast wrote in her caption that she begins a new day and new week on an energetic note. She also reminded her fans how it may not always be the ‘easiest thing to do’. She told the fans that while starting a new day on an energetic note may not be easy, we can always stretch and flex our muscles to prepare ourselves for the day ahead. While explaining the benefits of Eka pada Kapotasana, the mom-of-two shared that this asana not only helps in stretching various parts of the body but also helps with flexibility. She wrote, “this variation not only stretches the thighs, hamstrings, groin, abdomen, chest, shoulders, & neck; but also helps open up the hips & adds more flexibility to the hip region”. She further mentioned that this ‘fantastic’ asana helps the mind and body ‘relieve stress and anxiety’ and also allows us to ‘think and function in a better manner’
This isn’t the first time Shetty has shared pictures and videos of her doing yoga on social media. She is a firm believer in yoga who constantly educates her followers on the benefits of the same through her social media posts. The fitness guru who does not ‘believe in age’ and instead believes ‘in energy’, often encourages her fans to believe in themselves when it comes to being healthy and fit. “The power and potential to achieve all that your heart desires in vested in your mind” she says.
