Teri Meri Ikk Jindri Will Explore Shades Of Feminism As Mahi Will Stand Up For Jogi Against Her Brother-In-Law
In Zee Tv’s latest, the heroine will turn out to be the hero and face the villain1 Teri Meri Ikk Jindri is all set to give you a beautiful love story, but with a twist!
Zee Tv’s new show, Teri Meri Ikk Jindri, which is all set to start airing from 27th January is going to be a game-changer in the Hindi TV show storylines. In the first two promos, we learned that the show will revolve around two youngsters, Mahi and Jogi. While she is the more ambitious one in this duo, and even chides him for not being so, Jogi believes in leading a simple life and is content with it.
We already know that Mahi will be seen breaking some gender stereotypes that are deep-rooted in our society. She will be seen as a taxi driver who is extremely proud of her profession. While the profession is ideally associated with men, Mahi will be seen shattering these age-old beliefs. Since driving is her passion, she’s determined to go to any lengths to make the most of it. But that’s not the only issue she’ll fight for in the show.

According to the synopsis, Mahi’s brother-in-law, Pappuji will play the role of the villain. Pappuji is rich and powerful and is against Mahi’s decision to be a driver. He will prove to be a thorn in Mahi’s story but she being a headstrong and ambitious woman, will stand up against him. As per the storyline, Mahi will not only inspire Jogi but also support him when fingers will get pointed at him.
Since he comes from a lower-caste family and does not even have a father, Mahi’s brother-in-law, in particular, will look down upon him. Moving forward in the show, once the love story between Mahi and Jogi starts taking off, the stakeholders in Mahi’s life (her family and especially, Pappuji) will not be happy with her prospective partner. Hence we will see Mahi standing up for her love and going against her family. She will be like a modern-day Savitri, fighting for her husband and his self-esteem.
Teri Meri Ikk Jindri is quintessentially a woman’s story! She will be empowered and she will have the agency to support not just herself, but her husband as well. We’re excited to see Amandeep Sidhu don this avatar and be the strong-headed girl who stands up for the man she loves!
