His Storyy Trailer: Satyadeep Misra, Priyamani Come Together For This Tale Of Infidelity And Societal Homophobia

After being sidelined for decades and banned at times, the audience is finally in love with the cinematic renaissance. Yes! We are talking about the LGBTQ films/shows that aim at bringing a change in societal perceptions. While ZEE5 has an array of these norm-breaking dramas, it always aims at treating the viewers with a fresh perspective. Saying so, ZEE5’s upcoming original show ‘His Storyy’ will boast a theme of homophobia albeit with a new perspective. The trailer of the show was released recently and is being loved by the masses.

The trailer opens up with the ‘perfect life’ picture of Kunal (Satyadeep Misra) and Sakshi’s (Priyamani) marriage. Their long-ranging love life has made them an epitome of a ‘made for each other’ couple. They have two sons and are leading a life one would only desire of. However, the conflict-in-picture arises when Sakshi realises her husband’s homosexual affair. The perfect life picture morphs as a ‘perfect lie’ leading to chaos in their lives. It has only been two minutes into the trailer and you’re already screaming for more!

The show essays the complexity of society when it comes to dealing with homosexual relationships. While it is themed upon homophobia, an interesting aspect of ‘His Storyy’ is that it will be treating you with different perspectives. As shown in the trailer, the show will be portraying different sides i.e perspectives towards the ‘men-in-love’ factor. The troubles in Kunal and Saskhi’s marriage play as an external conflict while them accepting the reality lives as an inner fight.

Also, further in the trailer, as their happy life crumbles, the duo deals with the dilemma of confronting their children. And this is another aspect where the show aims at making a strong yet relevant commentary. The trailer promises to be a slice-of-life story laden with relatable conflicts. To be precise, His Storyy seems to be both emotionally compelling and socially relevant. While most of the LGBTQ stories become more preachy, His Storry chooses the way of subtlety to narrate a norm-breaking drama.

From the trailer, we can say that the theme of homosexuality has been treated with the utmost sensitivity. His Storyy boards a supremely talented cast including Satyadeep Misra, Priyamani, and Mrinal Dutt in the lead. The show is slated to release on April 25th, 2021.
